About Benson

I am a dispute resolution lawyer and author. As an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, I practise across dispute resolution, regulatory advisory and legal compliance, advising clients on matters that often sit at the intersection of business, governance, and emerging legal issues. I enjoy work that demands careful thought and judgment. In my experience, the best legal solutions rarely come from knowing the law alone. They come from understanding people, appreciating context, and recognising possibilities that others may overlook.
Alongside practice, I write, research, and speak on emerging legal issues drawing on insights developed through my research and professional experience. I am the author of The Law of Workplace Sexual Harassment in Kenya. For me, learning has never been separate from practice. It has always been part of becoming a better lawyer.
I have also been fortunate to lead, build, and contribute to initiatives beyond legal practice. Those experiences have reinforced my belief that leadership is measured less by the positions we hold than by the opportunities we create for others and the difference we leave behind.
My approach to dispute resolution is anchored in the belief that the law is a healing profession. At its best, it does more than resolve disputes. It restores confidence, protects dignity, and helps people move forward. That belief continues to guide my work and remains the standard to which I hold myself every day.
When I am not practising law, I enjoy public speaking, storytelling, and music. They remind me that the best ideas often begin with listening.
